This Privacy Policy explains what information Meal Planner ("the app") collects, how it's used, and your choices, in plain language.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password, used solely to sign you in.

Once signed in, the following information you enter is stored so it's available across your devices and sessions:

  • Custom meals you add to your meal library (names, ingredients, nutrition info)
  • Your weekly meal plan (which meals you've placed on which days)
  • Ingredients or allergens you've marked to exclude
  • Your grocery list checklist state

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device identifiers beyond what's technically necessary to operate the app.

How we use your information

Your data is used only to provide the app's core functionality: syncing your meal library, weekly plan, and grocery list across sessions and devices. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third-party services

We use Supabase to host our database and handle authentication. Supabase stores the information described above on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices.

If you choose to use the "Send to Instacart" feature, your current grocery list is sent to Instacart's platform at the moment you tap that button, so they can generate a shopping cart for you. This only happens when you actively use that feature — it is never sent automatically.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at the address below.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Return Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your order for any reason, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery.

Return Conditions:

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.

  • Return requests must be submitted through our customer support team.

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged or incorrect.

  • Once the return is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Perishable goods

  • Items marked final sale

  • Opened supplements or consumables (for health and safety reasons)

If you received a damaged or incorrect item, please reach out within 7 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.
